1) Start by expressing appreciation - "I really value being part of this team and the work we're doing together - it's meaningful /enjoyable to me"
2) Highlight your contributions - "This past year, I've taken on [specific projects or responsibilities] and I've worked hard to make an impact."
3) Highlight results - "i'm proud of the results we've achieved, like [specific outcomes]."
4) Connect your value to an ask - "Given the impact I've had and the work I've done. I'd like to discuss adjusting my salary / bonus to reflect my contributions."
5) Frame the conversation as collaborative - "I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and explore how I can keep growing to meet the company's needs."
6) Value constructive feedback - "I appreciate your feedback and look forward to continuing to grow and contribute here."
