Role

• As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will support the Financial Accountant in the generation of the month end reports and accounts to include balance sheet reconciliations as well as assisting with the delivery of the statutory accounts. 
• A key part of the job will cover all areas of the companies banking, ensuring that cash is banked and reconciled to the correct invoices and ledgers whilst keeping any cash control and bank reconciliations updated. 
• As the Assistant Financial Accountants your job is to support with the weekly cash flow along with providing updates to the payable and receivable teams, in relation to targets and cash flow outflow limits.   
• In addition, you will provide support with regards to VAT declarations and ad-hoc project work to improve departmental efficiencies and controls.
• Assisting with the monthly accounting close processes, obtaining, and updating all inputs to support business monthly financial reviews providing strong financial support and robust challenge within the business.

Ideal candidate

• The ideal candidate will be an active studier ideally in ACA, ACCA, CIMA or a late stage AAT or AAT Qualified keen to progress to the next level. 
• A self-starter with excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work to deadlines. 
• This role will suit an Assistant Accountant who is highly numerate and pays great attention to detail.
• As some of the role is home based, you must be self-sufficient, highly motivated, and enthusiastic with the ability to use your initiative.
