Vardey Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with a company in Central Bournemouth, Dorset who are recruiting for an Accountant/Finance Manager to join the business at an exciting time in their growth plans. Working closely with the CEO of the business, within a close knit team, supervising one staff member. This is an exciting role for a Finance Manager or Assistant Accountant seeking a step forward within an established, successful and marketing leading SME business. The ideal candidate will be clearly ambitious as your career will progress as the business grows!
As the Finance Manager/ Accountant your role is take full responsibility of the finances for this SME working closely with the accountants. Duties are wide ranging and will include preparing the monthly management accounting pack to include budgets and forecasts, monthly reconciliations as well as full control of both the sales and purchase ledgers (low volume). You will prepare detailed analysis of financial data and produce monthly financial accountants summary to include P&L, B/S from trial balance, payroll and P11d returns. As the Finance Manager your job will also be to identify areas of profitability, prepare the VAT returns, management of the credit control processes and produce ad hoc financial reports as required for the managements review. You will also work closely with the CEO explaining the numbers to the team and highlighting any areas of risk/improvements/change required. As well as supporting the CEO in the business strategy, planning and future growth! The view long- term is for this person to step upwards in their career to FC/FD level and hire a person to support them!
There is an opportunity for a Finance Manager/ Accountant to shape this role and make is their own having full visibility of a small, growing yet successful business. Lovely central offices in Bournemouth Town Centre. As the business grows this role will also grow with the opportunity of progression for an ambitious accountant/senior Accounts person. Full ownership and responsibility to make changes where required. Annual profit related bonus. There is an option for a 4 day week. Hours are flexible but ideally are office based (with some flexibility).
