Reporting to the Finance Manager, working in a close-knit team, this is a varied and busy job for someone who is looking to work for a small yet growing company with long-term opportunities. The Job
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with the month end process
  • Taking ownership of the sales and purchase ledger
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with payroll preparation & P11d returns
  • Prepare (assist with) the VAT returns, process expenses, bank reconciliations
  • Monitor the cashflow and support the forecasting process
  • Support the credit control processes
  • Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Book-Keeping - Xero Accounting
  • Assisting in Year end – budgets and forecasts for next year
  • General office administration/cover for operations and marketing when required
  • Working with the CEO and Finance Manager looking into business growth ideas and strategic planning.

Who should apply for the job?
  • An Accounts Assistant/Finance Assistant keen to continue with their career
  • An individual with strong business acumen
  • An active accountancy studier AAT or early stages of ACCA/CIMA
  • Eager to support the growing business (assisting with marketing and identifying opportunities) would be a clear advantage
  • Strong Excel and IT skills ideally with experience of an accountancy system
  • A team player, flexible individual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A creative flair with the ability to think outside the box!
