Vardey Recruitment is partnering exclusively with a dynamic and entrepreneurial business located near to Bournemouth Airport in Dorset near to Ringwood (Hampshire).  We are recruiting for a Part-Time Finance Manager to join the company on a fixed term contract basis for 12 months.  The Part-Time Finance Manager will be responsible for reporting on the financial performance of 2 companies on a monthly basis. You will manage a small team and provide financial explanations to the Directors. As the Part-Time Finance Manager, you will prepare the accounts for 2 of the groups companies and add value to the business acting as a business partner. 

The job role

• Supervision of the small finance function
• Creating and management of month end management accounts including investigating anomalies
• Cash flow management reporting
• Business forecasts & budgets
• Supervision and support with balance sheet reconciliations
• Full accountability for 2 group companies - preparing a full set of accounts
• Payment runs - Liaison with suppliers
• Improving processes and procedures
• Payroll preparation and sign off & bank payments
• Attending board meetings
• Supporting the business to aid decision making and work within non-finance staff to explain the numbers to non -finance to drive the organisation forward.

The ideal candidate

• Qualified Accountant, Part-qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience or AAT studier/AAT qualified - Accountant, Finance Manager 
• CIMA, ACA or ACCA or QBE or equivalent
• Ideally good hands on accountancy experience from start to finish ideally working within an SME - and production of management accounts
• Good Excel
• Xero a clear advantage
