Poole - Dorset | £20,000-£24,000 + Bonus

Vardey Recruitment is partnering with an entrepreneurial and expanding technology-based business in central Poole, Dorset who are looking for an Office Assistant. The office job is suitable for someone enthusiastic, ambitious and keen to work for a small yet growing company. The office job will be varied and include elements of marketing, sales, finance, and general office administration, an ideal job for someone keen to experience the workings of a small and growing company. The Office Job role:
  • Operations: Supporting the Operations Manager in daily tasks these include order processing, data entry, general customer service e-mails & calls.
  • Finance: supporting the finance team in busy periods.
  • General office administration to include updating documents, general filing, online folder organising.
  • Supporting the marketing administration for the company to include social media monitoring, creating marketing posts.
  • Sales: project work including creating new customer lists, contacting persons of interest, keeping a record of responses, arranging meetings.
  • Networking, attending events and other sales support duties.
  • Brain storming and working with the team to plan and support the growth of the business.
Who should apply for the job?
  • A college/school leaver or a graduate keen to start a career or an individual with some office experience (marketing/customer services/admin etc) keen to develop career as an Operations Assistant / Office Assistant / Office Administrator.
  • Someone keen to find a role that will give them exposure to the running of a small/successful business.
  • An office assistant / marketing assistant or administrator keen to develop skills.
  • An individual with “bigger picture thinking” someone who would like to contribute to the running of the business.
  • An interest putting ideas to the table.
  • Eager to support the growing business (assisting with marketing and identifying opportunities) would be a clear advantage.
  • Attention to detail and a flexible individual happy to get stuck in!
  • Good excel and IT skills.
  • An organised individual who is also a team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative flair with the ability to think outside the box!
In return:
  • Market rate salary guide circa £20,000-£24,000 + BONUS
  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays – increasing by one day for every year in service, up to 25 days.
