Andover - Hampshire | £40,000-£45,000 + bonus (salary neg)

Vardey Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with an entrepreneurial fast paced supply and manufacturing SME business in the Andover, Hampshire region.  We are recruiting for an Accountant to support this growing business during a time of change and expansion.  The Finance Managers / Financial Controllers job will cover 4 critical areas; financial transactions, control of balance sheet, monthly management accounts and management of the outsourced transactional team.  This will ensure reporting supports decision making across the business to enable the business to grow and move forward.

Job highlights:

  • Management of overseas transactional finance team & supervision of a robust and timely month end close process
  • Managing outsourced relationship
  • Control of the balance sheet
  • Production of Financial Information to include monthly production of management accounts
  • Management of financial systems
  • Escalated credit control, VAT, Payroll, tax, and statistical returns to HMRC
  • Point of contact for bank and audit relationships
  • Ad hoc reporting

The role will interest:
  • Ideally a strong all round technical accountant with a background in transactional accounting
  • Strong financial control background with a commercial outlook
  • A qualified accountant or proven relevant experience in financial control , transactional accounting and a highly commercial– ACA,ACCA,CIMA or equivalent
  • A finance manager/financial controller able to lead a team/ supervise staff
  • An individual able to “make it happen”
  • Able to support management in decision making
  • Great attention to detail and highly analytical
  • Flexible, able to adapt to a changing environment
  • Desire to keep improving – offering solutions/ideas and deliver change
  • Able to build relationships
